Preseason Predictions?
Did a patch screw up the pitching part of preseason predictions? I'm consistently getting starting pitchers predicted to start 50 plus game.

Not in my game--no differences. I have strict rotation set (4 man rotations). Starters are showing 35 starts in the preseason predictions-140 game regular season.

Same here, just checked 5 man rotation, 33-34 starts projected. 162 game schedule on an imported OOTP16 save.
What kind of league do you have? Maybe it is blip in the fictional or historical league.

Okay, if I start a season in 1946, I get the strange preseason predictions pitching wise. Start in say 1974 and things are fine.

My guess is that the 1946 preseason predictions assume "Always start highest rested" as the rotation strategy and that stamina is pretty high. That was, after all, approximately the era of "Spahn and Sain and pray for rain", which wouldn't work in 1974.

Did you have your lineups and rotations set before running it?
I never do and my pitchers end up projected with an ungodly number of starts. The other teams, set by the AI, all reflect normal numbers. I always blame the variation on myself and let it go. You may be able to avert such a thing by setting all that up ahead of time. |
