Can't assign a newly hired trainer to the team trainer role

Let my old trainer leave to get a better one. I am unable to actually assign this trainer to the trainer role. Only option is to release; action menu cannot be used. Happened with all trainers I hired for testing.

It's broken at the moment in 3.0.50, we think we have it fixed in the test build we're working on.
