Career milestone pop up when surpassing someone

I just received a notification on my Iphone that told me David Ortiz just hit is 534th career HR to tie Jimmie Foxx for the 18th all-time career leader.

I think it would really help the immersion if something like this would be added to the game.

Maybe even the option to ''ckeck'' the milestones you want to receive in your manager email box.

I like the idea alot also, however this is the kind of thing that could become a monster when it comes to loading times.

If you don't code this perfectly, the game will spent a ton of time checking if anybody passed anybody after each game, and it could wreak havoc in a inaugual season/the first 20 years of a league.

This may be why they have not implemented that

Yep you're probably right. Maybe they would they would have to set it to start when there is at least 20-30 years of history to avoid having players that passes each other every week too.

But well coded, it would be an extremely immersive feature

I couldn't agree more, Id like to see it with all leaderboard movements. They would announce it in a real game broadcast, so lets have it in game. A whole widget could be dedicated to news like that from around the leagues. I play out every game and this is now a real must for me. It may be a lot to ask but Im starting to crave this like its too important now not to have it in.

Ozuna hits his 9th home run and with it overtakes Damion Easley for 27th on all time Marlins home runs"

Or when the batter is up, "Prado is 2 doubles away from surpassing Castillo for 6th place on all time doubles for Marlins"

Etc etc.

Whenever I start a game I always delete all the history just so I can have leaderboards filled with stuff Ive done with my players and so I can get a handle on what is close to a milestone etc.

Because of this I miss Suzuki's hit chase, if its there?, but something like this would be immense for the player of all games, dare I say "The purist!!"
