Help Needed

Hu, one of my prospects has lost his "position ratings". He was my top ranked prospect and 2nd and 3rd and the 5th overall prospect in the league. During the current off season I moved him to my active roster as the job at 2nd will ve his to lose in spring training.

When I look at the "ratings" page everything seems correct except he has no position ratings.

Any suggestions are welcome as to how I can fix this.

Is one of his fielding ratings such as Turn DP very low? Because I'm pretty sure when some of these ratings drop below a certain threshold, depending on the player's position, he loses his rating at said position completely.

His Defensive ratings are:

Infield Range 25
Infield Error 50
Infield Arm 75
Turn DP

But no positions are listed. I've seen position ratings as low as 5 listed. My player has nothing.

i've had this happen when i've created a player for the amatuer draft ... all the #s were there, but no position. Then when the pre-draft list report came out, everything was there. don't know the cause or what fixed it, maybe it was just a time cures all ills type of thing .... hopefully yours will sort it out ... maybe ask for a scouting report to update it ??????? Good luck.

Go to league settings, run osa and scouts again see if that works for ya

Ugh...tried both and nada. He does now list LF as a 0. My scout told me he would be the worst defender on a high school team.

If a player fails to meet minimum qualifications at a position that they were previously rated for, he will lose his published rating at that position. I am pretty sure he will still be rated for the position internally, though, and you can safely play him there without him being the equivalent of a player with no-experience. He probably won't be very good, but he'll be better at second than one of your catchers (probably).
