AI Manager's Handling of Day-to-Day Injuries
I play as GM only, but I'm frustrated by my manager's unwillingness to sit players with DtD injuries, especially when it's a valuable player or a player with a comparable replacement.
Is there a way to make them sit the guy without using a minor league option or turning on Commissioner Mode? |

What severity is the injury? I have noticed that if the DtD injury is 20% or better, the AI usually sits the player for a game or two.

25% for 4 days.
I made a save and ran the simulation for those four days - looks like my manager was right, I guess... my injured player ended up hitting a game winning HR and made it through just fine. All the same, I'd much rather not risk it. Also: Does the percentage mean he's 25% diminished? Or he's at 25% strength, as in he's 1/4th the player he should be? Assume it's the first. The percentage means 25% diminished. I think it kind of depends on what the injury is whether it is something the player should be playing through. I doubt OOTP is currently factoring that in, but a sore hamstring (could get worse) is different than knee tendinitis (basically just pain management). I do also think playing through injuries should also increase the risk of other cascade type injuries. Basically, the injury model is probably the next part of the game that needs overhauled IMO.
