Expansion Draft Issue

I'm trying to schedule an expansion draft for a league that I play with some of my friends. When the offseason started I clicked "Expand League & Schedule Expansion Draft" in the league settings menu and went through the menu (adding two new teams to our 16-team league). It's supposed to schedule the expansion draft for the next day, but instead it scheduled the draft for two days into Free Agency. Everyone submitted their protection lists, but when I try to sim to that date to conduct the expansion draft I get this pop-up: "Attention! The following event has not finished yet: Expansion Draft Protection List Deadline You are now taken to the protection list screen. Please drag&drop the players from the left list into the protection area on the right. This will prevent them from being picked in the upcoming expansion draft." Except when I click "Ok" and go out of that dialogue there is no Protection List wizard anymore and then menu for the Expansion Draft has disappeared as well.

Can anyone explain to me what is going on? Is there any way to actually conduct the expansion draft? Is there a way to move the date of the expansion draft back to where I expected it before free agency? Thank you so much!

I figured out what the issue was for me. It was the fact that the Amateur Draft (which we also conduct in the offseason) and the Expansion Draft were colliding.
