Post Season Roster

How does OOTP figure out post seasom eligability. I am in mid septmeber and David Ortiz had a career ending injury. Since I had no one on the DL on August 31 it looks like I only have 24 players eligable for the playoffs? Is this true or will the computer make som sort of adjustment

You'll be able to add a 25th player once the playoffs start.

Of course, under real MLB rules anyone on the secondary roster is eligible. There's a toggle there in League Setup.
