First attempt

This is my first attempt at taking a photo that is pretty bad and trying to recreate an actual player image.

It may be crap but it looks okay small and in the game.

Any advice on how to improve this? I have no technique, I just played with paint.net until I created the image I could live with...... Gonna use the color one anyhow because I could not find any image anywhere on the net for this player.

Very much liked. I has tried this myselves but got nothing this improved.
