So I'm chugging away toward the All-Star Break...
Everyone in my starting lineup is hitting better than .300, and I'm currently sitting on a 232-run differential. This has always been a winning team since I began managing, with a few seasons with more than 100 wins (and a couple with 110 or more), but this is something special. I'm not really sure what's different; obviously, it's a really good squad, but its back-end starters are only so-so, three of my best players have spent several weeks on the DL list already (the team just kept winning without them, and then kept winning after they came back...), and after I went crazy with the running game last year, opposing managers have gotten a lot better at anticipating and catching my speedsters when they try to steal.
Has anyone else had a season start like this?
