FH2 Mod Installation Tutorial?
I Have years of OOTP experience and understand all the ins and outs of installing mods and graphics on that game. Just got FH2 and it doesn't seem to be anything like OOTP mod-wise. The online manual was pretty much useless in explaining how to install mods. Has anyone devised a quick tutorial on how it's done? I can't even figure ingame how to manually load team logos and jerseys like you can in OOTP.

I'd settle for like a single paragraph that explains how to set it up so when I build a game for facegen, unis and logos to be automatically assigned. Shoot, I'd even settle for an explanation on how to load these things to a particular team ingame. It's not at all like OOTP in this regard.
Surprisingly there doesn't even seem to be any txt files embedded within the zipped mods explaining this. OOTP mods frequently come with such instructions on how to load them. I've downloaded several of them and am yet to see a single instruction file.

Well to add them to an existing team is simple.
You will need 4 things 1 logo 2 Jersey 3 Helmet 4 Goalie Helmet First the logo go to your documents/Out of the Park Developments/Franchise Hockey Manager 2 folder this is the place the magic happens Now if you have started a game and set your teams. Make sure you look at your teams. this will create a temp file for the logo. that is the one you want to replace. So now go to Saved_Games/your league.lg file/graphics/logo_Teams replace the logo that the game made with the logo you want it to be. Now while you look at your Graphics folder you will see Helmet_pics and jersey_pics. these are the two folders your Goalie mask, player helmet and Jersey go in. you follow the same steps. just replace the file with the custom file you made. you will have to look at a player from each team before the file is created. (This is how I have found it to work. there may be other ways to add to a custom saved game but this works for me) |
