Ball animations gone in 2D mode

I actually prefer to play in 2D mode with the stadiums from around the era of OOTP14, as they have more realistic features. But even with ball animations turned on, I no longer get ball animations when I play on a 2D (broadcast view) field. Anyone have this same issue or know how to fix it?

Unfortunately due to how we queue up the actions, you need sounds enabled in broadcast mode to see the ball movement.

I'm still unable to get ball flight in 2D to work, even with the sound being enabled.
I've attached two screen cap's...
Am I missing a setting?

Ed Note: Had no issues with these settings in '16
