Start a Postseason?
Is there any way to just quickly set up a customizable MLB postseason and play through it?

Sounds like this will be doable in the new "tournament" mode in OOTP 18. Awesome!

take a schedule, edit it... at top in header change games to "0" etc... delete anythign mentioning an alll star game in the header... change # of days if there too... apply common sense to what you read in the header of the schedule file, i don't know it all by rote. length of season in there? days? # of games etc etc ... the header must be proper... if all lelse fails, generate one in game with same specs and copy it's header over. (generate one - try this first of course, i wrote this out of order, lol).
delete contents of <games> ... </games> but leave the script/formatting stuff. just make sure no games in between. don't delete any <xxxx> type stuff. in game set games = 0, then edit schedule and see if you can import that 0-game schedule... it may not allow this, so type 0 in here first before editing the schedule file, then start working on that once oyu know the game doens't give an error immediately. you can also see if "generate" schedule for 0 game specs will work... if that doesn't work, still try a hand-made 0-game schedule as described initially, unless the error given makes it obvious that it won't work... just because a game function can't do it doens't necessarily mean it isn't allowed, still worth a shot at that point. you will likely have to customize the playoffs... you'll have to let all teams in i bet... or it will pick based on alphabetical order, or possibly something else more random. may not be able to have a zero game season... but likely some workaround in the settings to do what you want... may just take some doing by hand each season, if a zero game schedule doesn't work. maybe 1 exhibition game for a team is enough? think outside the box to get it tto work if the simplest way does not. you can alwyas make sure the postseason doesn't start for 4-5days so that the pitchers rest if that is the case etc...
