Fewer fringe players demanding major league contracts

Seems like very few players with any major league experience to speak of, regardless of stats/ratings/etc. will settle for a minor league contract.

Contrast this to real life...where fringe players/vets on the decline sign MiL contracts all the time.

I think it would be nice to see more realism in that regard.

In my experience, the players who won't sign seem to be interested in money right now, over everything else. They probably stand to make more overseas, because the players I have failed in those types of negotiations go to Mexico, and Japan nearly every time.

Possibly OOTP has gotten this particular aspect of negotiations right, from my experience. But I do think players who are playing independent baseball in the States should be more prone to MiLB contracts, because most of them are trying to get that anyway.
