Groundball Rate

Why is Average = 54%? Everything I seem to find shows around 47-48% GB% being average in modern MLB?

Additionally, if I set someone at 54% will that actually be a true 54% GB% in game/sim?

The in game GB% is actually GO% and 52-54 is correct. In 2016 mlb GO% was 53.2.

In game go to team stats/pitching and you will see GO% listed.

All I see anywhere is GO/AO. Where do you get the percentage and/or how do you calculate it?

It is just a counting stat and the counts create the pct.
