In-Game editor question

So I'm looking to create a new solo league where I'm just a spectator so I don't mind manipulating things in the editor. My league settings are set to 1871. I want all pitchers in the league to simply throw fastballs and change-ups. I thought this would be easy enough. I go in the editor and zero out all other pitches except FB and CH. When I go back to the profile page however, the other pitches are still showing up. How can I change this?

Things I have tried:

league settings/functions run osa/human rescout. (This just gives them new pitches)

Hitting enter after I input stats. (The changes take in the editor, they just aren't removed from the profile page.)

Shutting the game down and reloading. (Thought maybe I needed to do that for changes to take to profile screen)

I mean it is a small league and I can just create the players I want. I thought editing pitches away would be easier than creating new players from scratch.

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Sorry for the post. I must have hit the wrong button or something cause the rescout button worked this time. Remove if necessary.

create the player you want as a base.. or i'm not sure exactly what you want.

export players.

sort by position column. (re-sort by playerid or whatver it originally was, just in case when done, so take note how it's organized).

find created player, copy paste pitches, including zeros, over all other pitcher pitch ratings.

import.

-------------------

as long as you reuse the playerid's, you can do whatver you want to that player. make use of copy/paste or whatver function you can think of in a spreadsheet. i am not sure what you want exactly, but this might give a framework for a way to quickly make edits in mass.

also, i believe there's a way to import databases and the game generates ratigns??? never done it, do some forum searches. i believe you could edit an exisitng database and easily change pitches before an import.
