My league is gone!
After playing OOTP throughout the Memorial Day weekend with no issue, I fired up the program this afternoon. It first went through some logo updating stuff which I thought was rather strange and then, suddenly, my league wasn't there.
Load doesn't work and continue game doesn't work. So basically OOTP did some automatic updates and now my league is gone. I'd love an explanation for this one! If you're trying to lose customers you're most certainly on the right track. |

What actually happens when you click load or continue? Is the save showing up and just not loading, or not showing up or what? Ultimately, your best bet will be to get in touch with tech support here. They'll be able to help you out. |

If I click on Load Game from the main opening menu it says, "There are no league folders in you saved game folder. Close this dialog and create a new league, or click the Restore button to restore a league from a backup file."
If I click on the Continue option, it says "OOTP cannot load this database because the world.dat is missing. And all I can tell you is, this wasn't me! |

Not sure what OS you have, but search files for *.lg and see if it happened to jump ship somewhere. Just in case.

It's possible that something happened that make the game think it had to re-set up. I'm fairly certain the save files are still around (we certainly don't delete save files), but it's possible we're looking in the wrong spot.
You can open up the "Game Settings" at the bottom of the opening screen, then go to "Troubleshooting". From there you can click the "open folder containing saved games" to verify the location that we are currently looking in. If your saved games folder was in a different location, then you should be able to edit the "paths.cfg" file (Open folder containing file "paths.cfg") to point to where your saved game is. Most likely there was some windows update that maybe cause some of the OOTP meta-data files to be cleared, so we defaulted to a location different than where your actual saved games are. Usually they will be in a location like "C:\Users\Matt\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 17\saved_games" in Windows. |

Matt,
I followed your directions, but there are no files that can be edited in the Paths.cfg file. |

path_cust_data C:\Users\Matt\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 17 path_user_data C:\Users\Matt\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 17 If you try setting those in that file to the location of your saved games, that should work, I believe. |
