What a way to end an ALCS, Game 7

Do i really need to say it - i love this game.

Game 7 on the road - up 3-0. Bring in my closer - who dutifully gives up the lead....almost. 2 men on - 2 out in the Bottom of the 9th, Tadasu Inu hits a gapper and the Sun's slowfooted catcher tries to score from 1st on the double....only to be thrown out at home....

Pride win. Pride win.........3-2.

So, Xian-tong Cuan - a pariah in his hometown for the rest of his career?

Oh...and the Sun's #1 player was on deck.....

In all its glory.

Now - let's hope i can actually win the Series. My team floundered its way to 91 wins and has turned it on in the post-season. With a staff with an average age of 27! Mostly home grown talent too.

I assume the catcher needs only a 50% or so chance to make that play to make running worthwile, so I wouldn't blame him.

Nah, he had 6 RBI in the series, he was pretty productive. Scoring from 2B on a single is pretty common, I'd say your fielder (Sword? Yoshikawa?) deserves credit for making a great play.

So....Euphoria turns to disaster. Apparently, my closer - who i received in a trade from Boston and had a 1.92 and only one blown save in the regular season - took it upon himself to blow a 4-0 lead and lose game 1.

Proceed to game 2 - 1-1 tie into extra innings. My excellent 2nd year second baseman goes yard giving us a 3-1 win. Hurrah!!!!

I decide - let's not bring Bryson into the game - he's blown 2 games in a row- 2 huge games - bring in Leclere (my former closer who lost his job when i traded for Bryson). He promptly serves up a 2 run homer and loses my lead. And eventually Bryson and the rest of my pen blows it in the succeeding inning.

Absolutely devastated right now. need to take a break for a few days before i go on to game 3 (wasting 2 stellar efforts by my top 2 pitchers).

Not sure how much more i can take. 2-0 lead into the 8th. A third bullpen relieve blows the 2-0 lead and i am behind 3-2. So my starting pitcher ERA in the World Series is 0.00. And we've blown 3 consecutive saves! Take the lead 4-3 in the bottom of the 8th on a home run and so then i am thinking - who the heck do i bring in to close this out. I panic. I bring in my Game 1 starter (he who pitched a 14K, 1 hit shutout in the divisional series).

What does he do? Gives it up. To bonus cantos we go....top of the 12th - Baton Rouge gets the bases loaded......only to strikeout....phew.

Walk off homer by my underperforming catcher. Game Saved.

Interestingly enough - the 2 time reigning MVP for Baton Rouge - Renauld Maldini struck out 5 times....and i learned a new term - the PLATINUM SOMBRERO....any one ever heard of it.

And - better yet - what do i do in game 4? My bullpen is shot.
