So Many Starting Pitchers With 100 Stuff in Future
Why is this? Scouting accuracy at 100% and there is like 30 starting pitchers with 100 "stuff" rating in my MLB game in year 2030.

That seems pretty unusual. I have seen the numbers creep up, but not that much and not that fast - and somehow they never dominate like Kershaw does

That's crazy. Are you sure you don't have it set to show ratings relative to a league, maybe one of your minor leagues? I know you said it's all defaults but I can't think of anything else.

Looks like a bug. Several of those starters are past age 30 and are nowhere near hitting 100 for stuff.

When i play with ratings relative to the MLB it sorts out obviously but it still doesnt make sense why this is happening. Do they think every pitcher in the future will be the next Big Unit lol

Maybe it's 100 stuff relative to the entire world's population?

Just an idea:
Maybe go to settings -> global settings and hit the Recalc All Ratings + Run Full Re-Scouting button on the left once and see if things change, could be a small bug there, I think I've read about this somehere in the forums. |

Do you use auto-calc? if all the batters have 100, 200, or even all 1 power rating, homeruns will be fairly evenly distributed after hitting auto-calc (rates, not totals). otherwise, you get the domination of the batters, unless they too are increasing in talent at relatively the same rate as pitchers overtime. there are a few possible factors at play that can cause different results. |

A lot of those pitchers are useless given the low movement. Wouldn't play at least 11 of them if I was trying to compete. Probably more.

Are your ratings relative to a lesser minor league?

If you don't want to see names you could actually export the player_pitching csv file, delete the player_id and name columns, then sort by stuff to see how many players have ridiculously high stuff ratings in your game. |

This is easily fixable, by switching to the 1-5 scale and then no pitcher will have STUFF anywhere near 100......
![]() Seriously, though, I would check the Player Creation Modifiers. Last edited by Questdog; 08-18-2016 at 01:33 PM. |
