Dimensions: do they matter?

I notice that a LOT of minor league stadiums have incorrect dimensions. They often more closely resemble the Polo Grounds than they do their real life counter parts, with CF being 420+ feet away from home plate.

My question is: does this matter at all in terms of simulation or gameplay? Or is this purely cosmetic? I've been changing them as I go through correcting ballparks.

No. Dimensions are only cosmetic. Ballpark factors however do matter.
