Scouting department
Maybe this has been suggested before? Seems like something someone would have thought of it before it popped into my head.
![]() Anyway, I think it would be cool to have your scouting department send you an email everyday to let you know how your hitters have fared historically against the days starting pitcher. I realize you can manually look these things up, but I feel like an email would just make the whole process quicker so you can spend more time agonizing over your lineup and playing games. Vice versa as well. It would be nice to know how your pitcher has fared historically against the hitters of the day. That type of info may help you with in game management in key situations. |

That's a great idea. You can get some of this information (at least for this season) in the lineups before each game begins, but only for the batters you have in the starting lineup.

I like this idea, and I think you could break these kinds of reports down into an array of different stats, performance marks, etc.
That could make it tricky. But no more than any other of the well-detailed statistical options in-game. Definitely instructions based, and it'd have to be open-ended to some degree, because if it's written too specific, you may wind up with junk. And I would think a similar version for pitchers, and even for fielding predictions. Where it shows how your opponent performed in terms of hitting, but instead of just seeing the production lines, seeing if they accomplished it through small ball tactics, or lots of bombs, etc. |
