Unable to generate lineups and depth charts

Lineups and not generated when I select "Ask bench coach to for lineups....". None of the options do anything. Not sure what is going on, it worked in another league I set up.

have you change any settings relative to the other league.. maybe "prevent ai from making roster moves"

although in '16, that didn't prevent the functions you mentioned from working -- '17 could be different? the legacy mode in global settings comes to mind, too. you might be able to work around it.
