So apparently a tie counts as a loss if the game is called after it is an official game

I don't know why it shows up that way. It should be on your schedule for later in the season to complete the game. In my dynasty I had a game suspended in the 10th inning, which we completed the next day in front of the regularly scheduled game.

Did it go into the standings as a loss? I bet it's on your schedule for later. If you look at a player's profile during a game that is tied it will often, at the top of his last five games, have his in-progress box score line for the current game with something like "Loss, 2-2" at the front of it.
