Crash-to-desktop due to roster change after suspended game
I am trying to play through the resumption of a game that was suspended due to rain about six weeks previously. We are in the top of the 9th inning of a tie game and I am the home team.
My roster is entirely the same, but my opponent's roster has changed; notably, his current pitcher has since been traded to another team. So when we resume, I can pitch through the rest of the top of the 9th inning, but as soon as we go to the bottom of the 9th it immediately crashes to desktop. I have also tried simulating the game, but it persistently crashes to desktop. Roster changes between a suspended game and the resumption date are incorporated into MLB rules and the team is supposed to insert a relief pitcher, but that does not appear to be happening. I have scoured the forum for a similar bug report and the only thing I found was this. I think this may be different, though; certainly a different operating system. I have uploaded the saved game .dat files under Cleveland.lg.zip. |

Update -- I was able to get past this game in my schedule by switching to commissioner mode, resuming the game, turning on the option to make substitutions for the opposing team, and inserting a relief pitcher for them while we are still in the top of the 9th. The game did not crash when we got to the bottom of the 9th, and I completed the game successfully.
Nevertheless, I am sure I only was able to do this because we resumed in the top of the 9th, before an empty slot on the line-up took the mound in the bottom of the 9th. |

Thanks, we do try to replace players, but we may have missed a case.
