Manager mode is the future!
I think that the manager mode is the one addition that I hope .400 Studios continues to develop. As many have said, online leagues really turned into the only way to play after awhile. The solo leagues got boring after time but this adds a whole new aspect. I hope they continue to advance this in future versions because I truly think this is the future of the game. It's great to see that if I can't win with my Cubs I'll be fired. Or that my winning will help me gain security by getting a big contract. The fact you can't quit or change anything is a big plus also as I would always be tempted to edit some aspects or quit a game that I didn't think was going fairly. Great job on this part and I hope to see it advancing in future games.

I really hope they add the suggestions that have been mentioned so far on this board, manage mode would then be my feature added to this version of ootp.

But there is one thing I don't like about the game. My first year, my team struggled, right after the initial draft. But, I did have the #1 farm system. But then I got fired. I would like to see them give you a little more time to build up your team than getting fired in the first year.

Twins, I agree, but this should only happen for bad teams. For example, if you were the Yankees manager, did bad, but had some promise, you still shouldn't be the manager. However, if you were the Cubs, did bad, yet had a promising team they should probably keep you at least one more year.

I would like to see owners looking for various things in their expectations... like trying to save money, win now, build for the future, etc.

It seems like you get fired based on how poorly your manager mood is in. And how patient the owner is. If you get a horror, expect to get fired so on. And I think the manager type should not be random it should be according to the team. Like the yankees owner should be horror while the royals/expos should be very patient heh.

I agree with the manager mode being the future. I just hope that I will get married soon;
By thursday of this week I should be married, and hopefully by Sunday she will be dishing out kids. Also do managers also have kids out of wedlock (I doubt that I spelled it right). Or have a kid with another woman while being married??? |

Can a manager ever die? Or will I continue to live forever? Will I be managing at 120 or 140 years? Will I ever get fired for being "behind the times"? Once my wife hits 45 will she say no more kids? Can I divorce at that point and re-marry? If that works, I can get some 100 kids or so and then just draft them all and have an all-Tanker Farm System. That would be weird, ha ha.

Yeah, this Career Manager mode is biased against Mormons.
