Opening Day Roster Problem
I was on opening day of my second season. The game crashed suddenly before I did anything, and I re-opened it. I immediatley saved so that I wouldn't do anything, and then tried to play a game. HOwever, the game couldn't load because all other teams still had 60 man spring training rosters; opening game had not yet happened even though it was opening day. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

In the league settings page, there is an option to run the computer manager on all teams. This will also run on your team, so you should be careful about that, but that is likely the simplest way to fix all the rosters.
You can also go through each team individually and on the transactions page, there's an "Ask AI to set up complete team". You will have to run that for each team, but it avoids having them touch your team. |

I did the first one, getting the AI to set up all teams, and it didn't help, the teams still have their 60 person spring training rosters. i think the problem is that it doens't recognize it as opening day, even though it is opening day, and so they still have the spring training rosters.

Every now and then we've seen this happen if things get saved out of sync. I always forget what the "best" fix is, but one of the following would likely work:
-You can manually edit league events to shift the season start date around. -Editing in the league settings the "start date" or other options there might work. -Barring that, you can edit the league schedule. If your game still shows as "preseason" or "spring training" (you can see at the top of the screen), then you can likely hit "regenerate schedule" and that should move out the season start date to a day or two away -Alternately, using either 1 or 2 above, you can go in and manually edit the schedule to delete the opening day games, and move them somewhere else in the schedule. Then if you set it up so that "tomorrow" is your opening day, teams should run through the proper off-season routine. If your game still thinks it's not the regular season yet, your easiest choice is likely to regenerate the schedule. |

I'm probably just gonna change the day of opening day, but fwiw, it must be really messed up because it said schedules can only be generated during preseason, even though it doens't yet think it's regular season. Thank you, it's a really weird bug to have
