In-game engine

Hey everybody,

I'm absolutely enamored with this great game as it has basically everything I could ask for in a text-sim. I have one question, though, and it may be a silly one. Is the in-game engine different from the auto-sim engine? I played about one month of the season with the 3d-view and I was leading the league in all of the hitting categories by a pretty wide margin. Then I simmed one month and checked the stats and I had fallen pretty drastically in most categories by about 10 spots (batting avg went from #1 to #11 in the NL and droped from #1 to #10 in RBIs).

Baseball is definitely a game of streaks, so it could be that I went on a cold streak there for awhile. Also could be that I was pretty rigid in setting my lineup but obviously had to turn over all duties to the coach.

Just curious!
