Personnel Contracts

How do you guys handle expiring personnel contracts?

I see you can go through your personnel menu and under available actions click to extend all contracts.

However, when negotiating one to one with personnel many seem to not want to stay where they are at.

So, my question is by choosing the option to extend all contracts is that a "cheat". If so, suggestions on how to handle the abundance of expiring contracts.

I don't handle minor league personnel and I've never had anyone turn down an extension at the major league level if I go with the default suggestion. So I dunno.

If it does let you bypass their refusal then yeh, it seems a little exploit-y. I'd probably go ahead and do it anyway, if I wasn't able to delegate minor league personel, just for the sake of time. The whole coaching staff thing isn't very interesting to me outside of storylines you can create around it, and I doubt one coach is much more impactful than another.

When I use this option, there's usually a couple of minor league managers that don't sign extensions. I've always assumed that those were the guys that wanted to leave. I haven't tested it thoroughly though.

I go coach by coach, I wasn't even aware that you could extend all at the same time. I would still go coach by coach, it at least gives them a chance to turn the extension down.
