Trade question - Assistant GM is never happy!
I'm new to OOTP though I've been playing the slimmed down iOS version for a couple of years now.
I'm trying to trade a player or two, and I can never seem to make my Assistant GM happy (I'm GM/Manager) I shopped a player and clicked "Trade" on one of the offers. My Assistant GM said the he would suggest requesting another prospect as well. Then when I add a prospect, he says essentially "This is terrible! We're not getting anything in this deal!" I can understand the addition not being what the AGM wanted, but suddenly the deal is worse? This wasn't a 1/2-star prospect or anything. Some of them I've tried to add were four or five star potential prospects. I'm not sure what the best way to trade is. Obviously you can ignore the AGM, but I want to make sure I'm making a good deal. Thanks! |

Fire the dude! i find most of those comments are OK but really not deal breakers. More like see if you can get more idea ... i usually ignore them, esp. when going for prospects and trying to thin out older players i never will use.

Give him
some Xanax or fire his sorry butt. Unhappiness is a cancer.

Well, my experience with this is, unless you have Trading Difficulty set to Average or easier, the AGM is usually not going to like any trade. That's because, on harder difficulty, the AI drives a . . . harder bargain. So ignore him if this is true for you.

I would take the Assistant GMs thoughts as merely a suggestion, and use that to maybe give the other team you're trying to trade with a good once-over, but ultimately, if YOU feel the trade is fair, and the opposing team seems to be on board with it, just do it if it feels right.

Has anyone paid attention to how comments change or don't change when you change your AGM?

Ignore, ignore, ignore.
If you're happy with the trade, pull the trigger. I care more about what the other GM says than my assistant, because that tells me the likelihood of the trade actually going through...
