Scouting Budget Amature Slider - When there is no Ammy Draft or Intls
Does Amature slider in the scouting budget section mean anything or is it a pure waste of allocated dollars when your in a historical league (career) have NO Intl ammys (No Intls for that matter) AND all Minor leaguers are automatically assigned to teams / No Amature draft

once the players are in your minor league system or reserve roster, amateur scouting does not apply to them. so, in the situation you described it is definitely wasting your budget.
think of each player-type as mutually exclusive. just as minor league scouting doesn't affect major leauge scouting... international and amatuer scouting will not influence major/minor scouting. if you never see the player in that form (amatuer or int'l fa), you never use that type of scouting on them. therefore, zero out those budgets. the only thing that isn't crystal clear by name, is the international established free agents... i believe the budget says "international amatuers".... this is the only type of player that it is not painfully obvious which category they belong to. i'd assume it's major leauge scouting budget?? i don't thnk this applies to your situation as described though... i am not familiar so bringing it up for others in different situations with a similar question. it would be easy to test this. use min/max budgets for each scouting type (0/24M) in 8 different teams or zero one out and hope the innaccuracy is large enough to still be obvious (0/8M/8M/8M) in 4 different teams. only players that particular scouting budget affects will have differring accuracy. set up any test which exploits this. same test to verify my answer to your question, too Last edited by NoOne; 04-14-2016 at 08:45 PM. |

So in essence there should really be a default in the game for no Ammy Scouting in the situation like I described above - IF No Ammy Draft, IF No Intls, IF no Independent Fictional Players, Then Default Slider bar to 0 for Ammy Scouting (just like Intl slider is at 0 if no intl). This would improve AI Scouting also by investing the AI Scouting dollars more appropriately.

yeah, it should grey it out when they are not applicable, if our educated guess proves to be true.
pretty sure they use cascading style sheets to control the format of the UI. if true, the fix would be very simple. |
