License/unlicense

Ok so I got a new laptop and would like to play ootp11 on it. I have the game licensed on another laptop. Do I need to unlicense it on that laptop to get the code or can I just get another code for the new laptop. I opened a support ticket but have not received any kind of a response. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

You can use the same license key on two computers. If you only have it installed on one laptop, install it on the second laptop and use the same key. If you have it already installed on two computers, then yes you would need to unlicense one of them in order to use it again.

Your order receipt has the licence number.

Don't have that. I've been trying to get an email of my order history from them but still no response.

I'd suggest you check your spam filter and/or the email used. The response is instantaneous.

I just did it and it took less than 30 sec.

So, is the email listed (where I blanked it out) 100% correct? If so it suggests that eSellerate is being spam blocked. I use a yahoo domain and OOTP download links (plus many other things) are invariably blocked. Since I know this happens I go into the web client and retrieve the missing emails at source. A minor inconvenience, once per year.

Either way why not click on the Support Center link on that page to take it to the next level at eSellerate? You can change the email address.

Honestly I don't know how anybody on here raves about the support for ootp. In 3 days I received one response from them about resetting my license which still doesn't help me as I don't know what my license # is. I appreciate your input cause it's pretty much the only help I've gotten. I use an email from cablevision which i've had for about 20 years and I've never had any problems with them not letting emails through. I don't have junk folders. I delete junk mail on my own. I know it's impatience on my part but this is the kind of world we live in now. You expect customer service now and not week from today. Ohh well....sorry about the rant but this is getting pretty frustrating. Once again thanks for your help!!

My sympathies are with you but your beef is not with OOTP but with eSellerate. OOTP pays a significant part of their revenue to eSellerate to manage the licence system. Does the email eSellerate has match the one you use? Yes or No? if Yes then eSellerate should solve the problem and you have the means to ask them to do so. If no then change the email. Either way did you take the steps I suggested previously?

One last question. Why did you delete the purchase receipt from OOTP Developments? I get 30,000 emails per year but I save anything I purchase which adds up to several hundred of the thousands of emails I get.

I hope this works out.

Just to answer your questions. I have NO means to ask esellerate to do anything because I have not received any emails from them. There is no Contact us button anywhere. If there is one there I haven't found it. I've tried everything on that site with ZERO result. I received one message after submitting a ticket about it when "Gary Brackenridge" said he reset my license which as i said doesn't help since I don't know what my license # is. And finally since I typically get a new laptop every year I don't have all my emails from 5 years ago. I don't know anybody that does. Frankly if you're trying to deflect blame from this piss poor customer service asking me why I don't keep all my emails from 5 years ago I wish you wouldn't.

My e-mail address has changed. How do I retrieve my order information / serial number?

Took me all of three seconds to find this page. There is a an email address near the bottom to open a support ticket.(shopper@esellerate.net) . I literally put my email address to get my order number and clicked send 5 times, and when i opened my email client there were 5 responses. Instantly. Its far from "piss poor" customer service. I dont know why you are having trouble, & I certainly understand your frustration. I've been there too. We ALL have. But all RchW has done is try to help you. He didn't ask why you didn't save ALL your emails. He asked why you didn't save ONE. And you never answered the questions he asked, again, in trying to help you.

Once again if you're not receiving an email from them like me that page is worthless so YOU didn't find anything i didn't see in 3 seconds. Please go ahead and give me an email address on esellerate without going through their automated system that I'M NOT getting an email sent to ME.
Yes maybe it works for you....IT DOESNT FOR ME. So read the whole thread before you flame someone cause YOU clearly should't BUTT in if you Dont know what you're talking about. I wasn't trying to be mean to RchW, sorry it came across that way. Just saw the email you posted. Will email them and see what that does. Thanks.
