Draft Class Generation Question
I have a quick question on what actually happens when a draft class is generated. We have a 30 team online league that uses 40 rounds, and creates a pool for 41 rounds. However, we now see a total of 1,497 players in the draft, but it should have only generated 1,230, right? Even with real-life guys already in the pool, shouldn't the game only added in what was needed?
Next, since we are now forced to have real draftees it seems (sigh), what happens to the draft pool talent if I delete these guys? What I'm asking is does the game take into account the pre-existing talent in a draft class before adding the others, or does it just generate a complete (additional) pool to drop in with those others? Thanks! P.S. In using the OOTP (online draft) Utilities, is there a way to import a completed or partially completed draft? |

You can delete out the draftees that automatically come up for the first three years, then change the draft date by one day later and OOTP17 will generate a new draft class for you that is randomly generated. The three auto classes produce more players than you designate for whatever reason. I always delete out the draft classes before starting a new game and it works out just fine.
I am not aware of a way to start a draft midway into it, it is all or nothing as far as I know. az "Playing OOTP since the first version" |
