Salary Cap for New League

Hi Everyone:

I want to set a salary cap after the initial draft of a new league. Also I want to play in manager mode.

Do I need to first have an initial draft, then set the salary cap, and then play the manager mode? I understand that if I set manager mode first I will not be able to have a salary cap because the manager mode freezes the salary cap option - is this correct?

Once in manager mode you can't edit anything.

Yes, don't switch to Manager mode until AFTER you have your cap set.

I would do the cap before the draft...that way no teams start out over. But I also find that with arbitration...a salary cap doesn't work anyway except to limit you in coaches signings and Free Agency.
