Historical Minors 40 Man issue

Doing a 1919 game with Historical Minors enabled. So I'm being told I have players who are on the active roster but not the 40 man, yet of course with the latest fix I don't HAVE a 40 man roster, only an active and reserve roster. So exactly how do I proceed to opening day? I'm assuming the culprit is Pete Schneider who has a MiLC contract instead of a major, but without the 40 man roster box I can't for the life of me figure out how to upgrade his contract.

Edit: Did a test and released him, and it wasn't him. So I'm really stuck as to exactly who is causing the issue.

not certain, but try giving everyone a major league contract? since they are on the reserve roster, they are major leaguers in concept, being able to move up or down into the 25 man roster as needed, or as often as you want. Anyway, that's the only thing i can think of without tinkering with the game, which is on my other computer. (you don't have more than 25 men on the active roster. do you???) Hmmmm. a puzzlement for certain. Good luck.

Still getting this problem with the latest patch. All players are on Major contracts. Anyone got any ideas? For now I've given up and went back to my fictional league.

Edit: I'll point out I did find a workaround, namely disabling the 40 man rule in it's entirety, but this is not ideal. I'm assuming it's an issue with the hotfix they attempted for teams not having access to a reserve roster before.
