3d Help - Editor

Loving OOTP 17 and the 3D mode especially. I still have a lot of trouble in the 3d editor, specifically setting different cameras. The 3D documentation is out of date (the docs linked from the editor) so I have a few questions:

1. The FOV value doesn't appear to do anything when set to "Cam Target" mode. Is that a bug or by design?
2. I set "Cam Target" then manipulate the stadium to right field (for instance). I save a new Cam called "RF" then save the 3D model as well. When I go to play a game, the results are unpredictable when I select "RF" as my camera view. If I get the view I set up, it is usually zoomed in too far. Sometimes it is just totally different than the cam I set in Editor mode. Does anyone have a surefire easy way to set camera positions?
