MLB Exhibition games during the regular season?

Teams from the AL and NL used to play exhibition games(Reds vs Tigers,Mets vs Yankees,Indians vs Pirates etc) and MLB teams would play their Triple A team (sometimes lower Minor League teams) during the regular season.

Is there a list of exhibition results and when did they stop playing those during the regular season?

Plus forgot to mention the Hall-of -Fame game at Cooperstown,NY.

With interleague play, those exhibitions became superfluous. That's when and why they stopped.

They stopped earlier than that, due to changes in the provisions of CBAs—the players didn't want to play in exhibition games during the regular season, so successive CBAs lowered the number of such games MLB clubs could schedule. Eventually all that was left was the Hall of Fame Game.

A lot of those(if not all) modern day exhibition games profits went for charities.

I noticed Pittsburgh played Charleston 15 innings back in 1971. I guess they didn't believe in calling games back then. LOL Today if someone farts during an exhibition game it usually gets called.

The Braves played the Richmond Braves in Richmond every year into the late 80s. They were always fun to check out when I was a kid. They usually had a AAA pitcher throw for the A-Braves as to not hurt the staff. They played with a DH which was always Murph to give him some at bats for the fans. Back then the Mets farm team was in Norfolk (now that's the O's farm team) and they played too I believe. My grandfather always told stories about the Yankees playing an exhibition game in Richmond when he was a kid on their way back up to NY at the end of spring training every year. That would have been in the 30s.

I seen Cincinnati Reds play the Detroit Tigers in Detroit back in 1977. I remember Johnny Bench played LF. These days they are very careful about playing players out of position.

Tigers and Astros played in the Astrodome in 1973. Jerry Lewis, the comedian, suited up for the Astros.
