After This I Should Be Awarded Manager Of The Year
I havent played manage only in several versions and now i remember why. Is this going to get balanced out a bit or is it better at a higher level?
On one side i take it as a challenge to see if i can convert a C to a different position. No clue how i will get all these pitchers innings, however.

Maybe you can teach some of those pitchers new positions too.
![]() I haven't looked yet in 17 but I often see way too many catchers available in the amateur draft and too many on rookie level teams. Your situation looks a bit more extreme than I'm used to seeing though. |

I have dabbled in manager only mode a couple times on each iteration of OOTP only to eventually get tired of roster moves and unbalanced rosters and move back into the GM chair. I have seen the most instability the lower in the minors you are in. I found it tolerable starting in low-A and working your way up from there. Rookie league and short season are just too volatile (and seasons too short) for any sustained chance at success. I am a couple of months into managing in the South Atlantic League and things seem to be going better than past versions. Of course sample size may dictate otherwise in the end.
