Overpaid good player is overestimated by AI
When I started with SEA and shopped cano, some team offered prospect or fair player.
And In Angels,I could trade pujols with minor leaguer. This seems strange for me. No team wanna take these player without proper payment. |

Go to Game/Game Settings/AI. Set trading difficulty to "very hard" and trading preference to "heavily favor prospects." Restart your league. Problem solved.
And please ask your new user questions in the future in OOTP 17 - New to the Game? - OOTP Developments Forums because that's what it's for.

I know I can change AI setting.
But I think that is not sufficient solution for the problem. If I set trade difficulty very hard,It is almost impossible for me to trade for cano as NYY GM ,for example. I am not complaining about game difficulty but AI balance. And talking about pujols and cano, they should have minus value. That is not solved by veteran, prospect balance. In my opinion,AI tend to underestimate money |

You can take that one up with Markus.

The trading AI, while not perfect, is pretty good. The AI will never behave like a real human because all the AI sees is numbers. It does not know who Cano is or even care that is his name, all it sees are the numbers that its AI scout says are that this player is worth the amount of money being paid for the player. It has no value for this.

This made me wonder how much effect popularity have on a player's value. |

That is a good point, is a team willing to take on extra bucks for more butts in the seats? I am sure that the model AI has take factored in. I do not know how the popularity is coded.
