Dual-threat prospects?
Check out Glenn Jewell, just drafted 4th overall by the Miami Marlins as a pitcher. Miami likes him so much, this is the second time they drafted him. He went 3rd overall last year but failed to sign. Guess they want another go at him?
He played both the outfield and pitcher positions last year in college, but was used exclusively in the starting rotation this year. Will be interesting to see if he can live up to the hype, and which position he will ultimately play. Judging by his eye rating/potential, I think pitching is his calling card. |

historical minor league guy? if so I have a thread on that, some crazy imports happening at least in the 1960s for me one pitcher had 100 contact, 100 ks and is hitting .440+ 2 seasons in a row for the twins now at 1b

I've got a pitcher in my minor leagues who could go either way. His positional stats aren't so hot but his hitting is better than some of my starting lineup. His pitching stats leave possibility for a number 2-3 starter if he develops... I'm not sure what I'll do with him yet. He's only played as a pitcher despite the hitting ratings.
