Offense

Is anyone else still seeing absurd amounts of offense? I'll admit, I have a small sample size, but it seems like games are more often than not high scoring.

On a side note, anyone noticing higher than usual errors? Hoping it's an anomaly, but I just had an 8 error game.

For the record, I'm referring to modern-day MLB.

I don't know if you'd call it absurd, but runs have been up 5% in the game I started with the last build prior to today's update.

I just simmed the 2016 season. Runs per game were .09 higher than 2015. So, not much different. Only one player had more than 40 home runs: Chris Davis (49). The leading hitter was Cano (.336). Hamilton led in SB with 67.

That report is only designed for comparison with historical (pre-2016) seasons.

But it still shows the % relative to 2015 doesn't it?

But as pstrickert said, this is only designed for use with historical leagues.

What does that mean? It's accurately showing the % of runs relative to 2015, which is all I'm using it to illustrate.

It means that once you go beyond 2015 (history as of this moment), your league is no longer tethered to historical numbers, so things may get very offensive or very defensive. In other words, the stats output might not remain as close to 2015 numbers as it was when you started. If that makes sense.

It would be nice if that item was available for fictional leagues like mine which are based on real life historical stats in MLB. Being able to see the variation from say 2009 or 2011 would be a huge benefit. Currently I have to maintain a spreadsheet collect data and enter numbers by hand to get the exact data seen here.

It never occurred to me to ask if this was possible.
