Problem with the game creating fictional players in a historical MLB Game

I started my historical game in 2003 using default settings. in september, the game started creating fictional amateur players as free agents. what gives?

Do all these guys have the first name Ballplayer or do they have regular first names?

no regular names. Though I think i found the cause. I had ghost players disabled. I'm not sure why that would create players since there's an amateur draft

Never seen this but exactly what does that mean? Is it a DB error, or like a "grey" player in Football Manager or what?

I don't have facegen on so I didn't check what color these guys were. They all had the same ratings and they were all named Ballplayer

No no no, by grey I meant like a greyed out name, I think the other term is ghost player, a player that only exists when a team has gaps in its roster.

I got what you meant, was just going for humor....as usual I failed. Teams went from have 25-30 total players to close to 100. The teams with affiliated minors had well over 100.
