are people seeing cpu-cpu trades with current version?
For some reason, I have simmed several different seasons using historical and also using the 2016 quickstart, and I'm not seeing any CPU-CPU trades. Is anyone else having that problem?
I've checked to make sure "enable trades" is checked and the CPU teams are making moves to sign and release people. And I am able to make trades with CPU teams. I was seeing trades in the early access version, but for whatever reason, am not seeing them now. Am I missing some setting? Thanks so much. Last edited by thisisme; 03-23-2016 at 09:13 PM. |

Something must be off, as I've seen a trade in the first week or two in my 1919 historical game.

This is really weird. I just created 2 different brand new leagues, didn't change any settings, and simulated a full year, and didn't see a single CPU-CPU trade.
I did a fictional league and a MLB quickstart with all leagues, and not a single trade. Other teams are putting a few players on the trade block, but no trades are made. |

I see trades happen all the time, and I typically leave the default settings as-is.
If anything, I typically see a larger than typical amount of April trades. I have often considered tweaking the settings because of the large number of April traded, but it tends to feel about right in July, especially that least week before the trade deadline. |

Well everything seems on track then. Victor Martinez must have been traded in every 2015 league I setup in OOTP 16.

Yes, I should have added that. It does seem more prevalent in season one, and happens much less often after that.

Has anyone that has had this happen experienced a change in latter seasons? I imported my 16 league and the only trades that have happened are trades I initiated in an 8 month span. This 8 months include the Winter Meetings and spring training. The only thing I did that may have influenced this is that I imported the league in midseason after the trade deadline had expired for the 2035 season. I play out all my games so I don't really want to sim ahead to test this if someone had either found a solution (me not having a setting selected) or that I'm out of luck and need to retire this file. I am about to start the 2036 season but do not want to invest too much time on this league if there isn't a workaround. And yes, I learned that I obviously live in my own teams bubble to not have noticed this issue in almost a week of playing until I read this thread.
I'm using average difficulty, neutral preference, and average AI trading frequency. It's a 26 team fictional league. Any assistance/suggestions are appreciated. Thanks. Doug |

I'm with the ones who are not experiencing any issues. I've seen trades within the first couple days of the 2016 seasons. On top of it, I have trade frequency set to "Low".

That shouldn't have anything to do with it, but if it is, I'd like to have confirmation of its effect.

I think my trade freq is default and I'm using fictional league... Trades all first season and through the offseason. Back into preseason now and they're still acquiring players and making trades.
No issues for me! Other than my teams poor performance! |

I just tried changing frequency to Very High and difficulty to Very Easy (though I think that only applies to human to AI trades) and simmed the last two weeks of spring training and still no trades. Looks like it just may be related to my imported league. I'll try the first couple weeks of the season and if nothing then I guess I'll just retire the league and start over fresh with 17.. (this is the first version I've been attached to a league enough not to start fresh but hey I just spent a real life year on this league and never won a championship playing out all my teams games so maybe a fresh start will do me good..

(I'm mostly glad that it doesn't appear I'm going crazy.) I'm hoping the patch will fix this for the few of us with this issue. |

I thought it wouldn't happen on new games so I created another one and still had the problem... So I just uninstalled and am in the process of downloading it again to see if that corrects it. If not, then I guess it's back to Fallout 4 for a while.. I'll report back if the uninstall/re-install fixes it.

As an update in the event anyone else has this issue, it appears that uninstalling and re-installing worked for me. I started two different basic fictional leagues and trading did occur. However, the trading didn't start until 5/27 with trading frequency on very high and 6/23 with trade frequency on average. Both leagues started around 4/1. That could just be coincidence though.
Neither league started with inaugural drafts so maybe the distribution of players was good enough that trades were not needed. So I guess, I'll just move forward and assume I just had a problem with my installation.
