Historical Minor League Players without Minor League Structure

I apologize if this has been asked already, I searched and couldn't find this question answered anywhere. Is it possible to import the historical minor league players without the minor league structure? The options when creating a game look like this:

Is there a configuration where I can import players based on their minor league debut but have a AAA, AA, A only structure for my minor leagues? Or do I have to have "Automatically expand league" selected in order to import players the year they make their minor league debut?

Not currently supported. Structure and players are connected. Both or neither.
