Saving and Loading Templates

I saved a Template called "My Rules" which had all of my settings from the 2016 season.

I used it for my newly created 1977 Season, thinking (and hoping) that I wouldn't have to go in and change all the settings which I like to use in all of my games (such as the 20-80 scale vs Stars, etc).

I went into my Pirate Roster and all of the guys are in their 60s. Also, I noted that the season begins Mar 31, 2016!!!

How did that happen and how can I prevent it from happening in the future?

Thx

I think, but could be wrong, it is because you set (actually stay with the default) start year of 2016. You need to change that. I did have this same issue and fixed it by doing that.

I'm not quite sure I am following what you're saying. I WAS using the 2016 file, because I had to go thru and change all of my settings with the new season.

Also, even if I COULD play with that year, how would I make it universal?

How do you save a template? If I could save a template with my settings to use when I have to start a new game due to the roster updates, that would be amazing.

New Template didn't work on 2016

I saved a Template for the 2016 beta #1.

It had all of my settings.

I just got the 2016 Beta #2. I started a new game with the new Rosters (great work, btw) and then applied the new template I had just saved in Beta #1.

It didn't affect one single default setting.

Very bummed right now.
