Converting 1-100 Scale To 20-80

Hello All,

Tejdog1 was kind enough a few years ago to share his custom filters for OOTP. You can find them in the below link

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...m-filters.html

The only problem is that the filters are set up for the 1-100 rating system and not for 20-80. I was wondering if anybody could help me convert 1-100 to 20-80 scale? I never used 1-100 scale before. Is 50 on 1-100 scale average?

20 - 1
25 -
30 -
35 -
40 -
45 -
50 -
55 -
60 -
65 -
70 -
75 -
80 - 100

Thanks for the help:-)

After looking at it again I made one small change to make it "perfect" because im like that. haha... you have to say 20 would be "0" not "1".. so...

20-0
25-8.3
30-16.6
35-25
40-33.3
45-41.6
50-50
55-58.3
60-66.6
65-75
70-83.3
75-91.6
80-100

It only changes 20,25, and 30 but I wanted to fix it for ya.. my apologies

Could someone explain the point of the 20-80 scale? I've always use the 1-100. Seems liike with 1-100 scale you get a more intuitive feel for what a guy's worth based on his rating than with the 20-80 scale. I am just curious of the theory behind the 20-80 scale. Thanx.

Scouting Explained: The 20-80 Scouting Scale | FanGraphs Baseball

Basically, if you set 50 as average, and assume that MLB player skills are "normal", then 99.7% of all players would fit into a 20-80 range, if you set it so that 10 points is a standard deviation above or below average.

If you don't like it, it's easy to switch back to the others, but it tends to be the scale that MLB teams and scouts use, so it made sense for us to switch to use it as the default.

Yes-Sir! Thank-You for that article. The article broke it down in such a way that even I could understand the 20-80 Scale. Now the 20-80 Scale is starting to make sense to me.

I believe (though I don't remember totally) that those are also for non-relative ratings, which I've switched over to using.

Also - they wouldn't be compatible with OOTP17, would they? As they were made for/using '15

Nah, thanks.
I prefer redoing them manually, that way if I think of something to change... easier to do. I can post my new stuffs when I'm done if you like.
