OOTP 17 Bugs

Bugs:

****I can't import any photo files. All I get are fictional pics. When I go in to manually import a pic and use the filter, nothing shows up other than some directories.

****None of the ratings change for the current rosters (right out of the 'box'). For instance, (and this is only ONE example), Josh Bell is rated 21/34. His hitting on his profile page says 45/50 (45 current and 50 potential). I made his BABIP potential 200 just to see if anything changed. Nothing did. It stayed at 45/50. I have attached pics for him. Read it from left to right.

It is the same with fielding ratings. I made Elias Diaz a 191 arm. He stayed at a '60' catcher.

I even tried the "Base ratings on stats for potential and current ratings" feature. The numbers changed in the Edit page, but not on the Profile page. Tyler remained a 20/63 even though I made him a Sandy Koufax in waiting.

I am going to quit playing until the "clean" version comes out. I see now that the pre-order guaranteed a "Gold Master Beta", but I didn't think it'd be THIS buggy.

So much for the pre-release, but at least I saved $5.

Read from left to right. Original, Edited change (I gave him an arm rating of 211 vice 131), New Profile (where nothing changed)

You need to run a re-scout for changes to show, or else turn off the scouting system so the game shows real ratings, then they'll auto-change.

Scouting is turned off in OOTP 16 by default. I guess I have to do all that all over again....grrrrrrr....

Any thoughts on why I can import any pictures? Is there a way to set a default directory? Right now it is pointing towards OOTP17 and they are all in OOTP16.

I had issues with portraits on my imported game as well. Here's how I fixed it:

First I went to Game Settings and ran "Force Update/Generate All Player Pictures". This took forever to do, but once it was done all of the missing thumbnail type pictures on all of the menus were fixed.

I did notice after that though that when I clicked on some players their profiles still had messed up pictures, so I went to each individual MLB team's Team Settings page, went to "Modify Team Logos, Colors, and Textures", and clicked "Update this team's pictures now!". This process seemed tedious but was pretty quick. It also may have been unnecessary. I'm not sure if this one of the things the game does on its own eventually or not.

After those two steps all of the MLB players had their updated facegens.

It looks like a lot of Minor Leaguers have real face gens too, although i'm not sure how since I don't see their names in the list of face gens. Maybe some of the face gens just look more realistic now, not sure.

Thx! I went to try that but there is no "Force Update/Generate All Player Pictures" on the Game Settings page.

Under Player FaceGen it is greyed out. Might it be somewhere else?
