Can I Change Today's Date?

I (finally) got around to installing the game yesterday.

When I opened it and started a new game, it opens my season on March 18. Except that my season starts April 3. So there's no Spring Training.

Can I change it so that "today" is some other date instead, like February 1 or January 15 or something?

IIRC the inaugural season does only start on the date you currently have. After the first season you will have spring training plus all the other stages of the normal baseball year.

So what if I change the system date to January 15 and start a new game? Will it start it on January 15?

(I know I could just try this - thought I'd ask in case anyone knew.)

Okay - tried changing the system date to January 3 and started a new game. When the game finally loads, it tells me today's date is March 18.

So it's not getting the date from my system; maybe a setting in a file I can actually edit?

It has nothing to do with the system date. It's the day before the Opening Day of the earliest selected league, and the CPBL opens March 19 so the in-game start date is March 18.

(And no, Cheat Engine doesn't work either. Causes the game to crash.)

There's a workaround, but it's a bit tedious and involves .wtp files.

Yes, I do wish we could play spring training 2016 in the standard game. Seems like a natural for when the game comes out and the ideal way to learn whole organization in relatively short order.

Yes I second it. You could take like All-Time Greats or so on that has a January start date.
