Having trouble importing historical minor leaguer

First off, am I correct in assuming that historical minor league players are imported from the historical_minor_database.odb?

Secondly, the number of characters or spaces permitted in the search field is not adequate to fit the entire player ID, resulting in the import failure. For example:

Brien Taylor's full ID#: taylor002bri
What the search field allows: taylor002b

What am I doing wrong?

You're not doing anything wrong ....I don't think this is correct so I'll report it..
For now..Here's a work around.
Create a txt file of the player(s) you want to import in this format.
ID,Year,Team ID
Once done, go to the Import player screen and select the minor lg. database. Then Below the Enter Year box, click on "Click here to select file" and navigate to where you saved your text file with your players you want to import and select it and click ok.
Now your player(s) should import directly to their team.
Hope this helps

Reported..hopefully will be fixed in next patch.

The individual import of minor league players is not supported yet. Something for an update or OOTP 18.
