Help Needed! Can't get game to install

I have tried for the past 6 hours trying different methods but I can not get the game to install. Yes, I do get an error message which is in the screenshot below. Can anyone here help?

I have tried downloading the setup file to a thumb drive and I still can't get it to install, per the same error message.

Should I submit a support ticket? Should I post this as a bug?

BTW, I have Windows XP; AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2.20 Ghz, 1.00 GB RAM

Thanks in advance for any assistance in resolving this issue!

Couple of threads on the issue in various forms, but most of the solutions seem to involve temporarily disabling your anti-virus.

Doh!!! Cheese and crackers....I honestly thought I had Avast disabled. That tis until I checked services.msc to see which ones were running/stopped.
