Can we not use our own stats databases anymore?
Maybe i'm not doing something right but it wont import players like it did in ootp16. I am not talking minor leagues and i understand the historical database that comes with the game is to make it easier for people to start a 19th century league but some of us still need the way the old stats folder was.
Sorry to complain cause ootp17 looks great. Its just that i put a lot of time and effort to run my 19th century league but it does not seem like i will be able to continue it in ootp 17. I do not mean using the historical database that comes with the game because that does not have the correct historical teams for the 19th century and players do not go to their correct teams. I had the database set up to import the correct historical teams and players to their teams for 19th century league play. I hope i do not sound angry or upset cause i can still use ootp 16 and then import the league into ootp17 but was hoping it would work in ootp17. |

19th Century got no love this version but the pieces that make the minors leagues work will allow real teams, players and leagues for the 19th century some day. Hope is alive! If enough people clamor perhaps this will come to pass.
You probably won't be able to use your modded database with this version.

Glad to hear im not the only one that cares about 19th century leagues. Its not historically accurate when you have the wrong teams. I do understand it makes it easier for new people to start a league in 1871 but theres been progress made if they would just look into it.
I think ive showed in my 19th century league can work. Players were being imported correctly to their historical teams. I know taking transactions are a pain for 19th century but you cant just import them into a database like the 19th century. You have to look at what is happening at that time. To get stats accurate as much as they can be for 19th century leagues you need accurate schedules and teams. It cant be accurate if players from Altoona Mountain City are playing a full season because they are on another team. Its not impossible to do. If it was, i would not have got to July 1884 of my league. Sure there may be a few transactions i may have missed but the point is it can be done. Even the transactions i make manually could be done automatically. It doesnt have to be complicated trades. Just a simple signed or released. As long as the players get to the correct teams is the import thing. But again this isnt something that is gonna keep me from playing ootp17. I dont want it to sound like a bash against the game cause though i am disappointed in this aspect of it i am sure i will still enjoy ootp 17 and i still can use ootp 16. |
