Importing MLB/Historical Minor Leagues-1967?

I imported both for the purpose of using players in two Fictional Leagues. I am cherry picking players off the 1967 rosters and placing them on Fictional teams.

I don't want the imported leagues to play any games.

So would it be better just too hold off playing games or if I delete the 1967 Leagues-what happens to the players assigned to the Fictional Leagues?

Do they become free agents if they were on the 1967 MLB 40 man rosters or will they remain on their Fictional teams?
